What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a treatment for realigning misaligned teeth. It comprises clear aligners worn over the teeth which are virtually invisible to other people. The aligners push your teeth with gentle force, and over time they will move into the desired position. You will need to change your aligners every couple of weeks, and we will give you enough to last for 6 weeks, after which you will be required to come and see us for a checkup. The aligners being removable also means that you only have to wear them for 22 hours each day. You will therefore have plenty of time to take them out for activities, such as riding a Segway, doing an escape room, or just chilling on your sofa – the choice is yours! You will also have time to take them out for meals and cleaning your teeth – don’t forget to floss (and we don’t mean the dance move, although you are free to do that in addition to your oral hygiene routine!)
Bespoke treatment
The wonderful thing about Invisalign is that it offers maximum comfort, while realigning mild to moderate alignment issues, such as crowded teeth, gapped teeth, over or underbites, or crossbites. The aligners are made to measure your mouth. We have an iTero digital scan that obtains the measurements we require to have your aligners manufactured for you in the Invisalign laboratory and, with this scan, we can also produce a video of what your teeth are going to look like after your treatment, so you won’t have to wonder what your smile is going to look like, you will have had a glimpse into the future! (No Mystic Megs required, it’s just nerdy Science here!)
